During my school days when I was growing up, I remember sitting in class, memorizing a bunch of stuff, and being “encouraged” to correctly answer questions based on information from the “approved curriculum.” If you were the least bit creative, or had a different perspective, well let’s just say your inspired answers weren’t always well received.

I guess that’s what drew me to storytelling. It wasn’t the stuff that was in the textbook that was interesting to me… it was what wasn’t. You know, the quirky habits that led to a unique breakthrough, the resilience of the human spirit to overcome any challenge, and the overwhelming desire to live a life of purpose and meaning.

Turns out, these are the same qualities that drive people in their business. It’s part of their story, and it’s their stories that I have had the privilege to tell for more than 20 years.

My story started at a production company in Chicago. After 9 years, I entered a new chapter and launched my own business…Lanakila Productions, in 2004!

Today, I work with corporations, associations, non-profit organizations, small businesses, independent business owners, artists, public speakers and solopreneurs. As a scriptwriter, video producer, editor, actor and voiceover artist I serve my clients by helping them to share their story and deliver their message in fun, informative, and creative ways.

Whether it’s a brand video, public service announcement, documentary, explainer video, eLearning, Kickstarter or Crowdfunding video, speaker demo or sizzle reel, my mission is to make the world a better place…one story at a time.
